Zoo Career Spotlight for Teens

Ages 13+

6:00-8:00 p.m.
$8 per person for members
$10 per person for non-members

Gain insight into animal-related career fields directly from Zoo staff and learn how to get involved through volunteer and internship opportunities at the Houston Zoo. 

This exciting program will include brief presentations by Zoo staff members, including how they entered the zoological field and an overview of their current job. Light snacks will be provided, and a Q&A session will follow the presentations. Information regarding our teen volunteer program and internships will also be provided.
 
 
 

Registration Information


Parents are welcome to attend but must also register for the program.
 
The Zoo Career Spotlight for Teens will be held in the Brown Education Center (BEC), beginning at 6:00pm.  All participants will enter through Gate 5, located on the left as you enter the main Zoo parking lot.  A Zoo staff member will greet you at the gate, which will open at 5:45pm.

Cancellations

Patrons who provide a written notice of cancellation to Group Reservations on or before 6 weeks (42 days) prior to the start of the program will receive a full refund.  No refunds will be issued after this date. Program and date changes must be made at least 3 weeks (21 days) prior to the program date and are subject to availability.

 

The Houston Zoo reserves the right to cancel any program due to minimum enrollment, inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances, in which case a full refund will be issued.  Cancellations are official upon receipt of confirmation from the Houston Zoo.
